Not every puncture means you need a new tyre. If the damage is in a suitable part of the tread and the tyre is otherwise safe, a professional repair may be possible.
Often repairable
Small punctures through the main tread area can often be repaired after the tyre has been removed and inspected.
Usually needs replacing
Damage to the shoulder or sidewall, significant cuts, structural damage or a tyre driven while badly deflated may mean replacement is the safer option.
